Policy administration software for MGAs
MPACS is built for managing general agents writing specialist business on someone else's capacity. Each insurer's rates, limits and referral points sit in the system as settings, so your team quotes inside your authority without checking a spreadsheet first, and your capacity providers get their figures without anyone rebuilding them by hand.
We've built software for the insurance market, and only the insurance market, since 1999.
-
Several capacity providers, one system
Each insurer keeps its own rates, excesses and referral rules, and MPACS knows which apply to which risk. Moving a product to new capacity is a set-up change, not a rebuild.
-
Your authority, applied every time
Set the points where a risk has to go to an underwriter. Everything inside your authority quotes straight away. Everything outside it is referred with the reason shown, so nothing gets bound that shouldn't be.
-
Bordereaux the way each insurer asks for them
Premium and claims bordereaux are produced per insurer, from the data your team has already entered. Agent statements come out of the same records, and finance postings can feed Sage 50 automatically.
-
Brokers submit online
MPORT, our broker portal, lets brokers fill in an application, see a price where your rules allow it, and submit business that lands directly in MPACS. Anything outside your rules becomes a referral rather than a quote.
-
New products without a development project
The questions you ask, the rating tables behind them, the referral points and the documents that come out at the end are all configuration. We set them up with you, and adding a product or a scheme is set-up work, not new software.
-
Evidence for carrier audits
Every change to a record is logged down to the individual field, with who made it and when. When a capacity provider audits your book, the answer is in the system rather than in somebody's inbox.
MGAs on MPACS today
MGAs use MPACS to write commercial combined, commercial property, private medical and other specialist classes on third-party capacity.
Common questions from MGAs
Can MPACS handle more than one capacity provider?
Yes. Each insurer has its own rates, excesses and referral rules, and each gets its own bordereaux.
Can we move our existing book across?
Yes. Our developers write the conversion and run it against your live data several times before the switch, so problems show up early. The final move is usually done over a weekend.
Where is our data held?
In a UK data centre in Maidenhead. We look after the servers, backups and updates.
How is it priced?
A set-up fee for configuring your products and moving your data, then a monthly fee covering hosting, support and updates. You have the full cost in writing before you commit.
